THE FIGHTER

Just finished a painting of "The Fighter" Irish Micky Ward. is a retired junior welterweight professional boxer and former WBU Champion from Lowell,Massachusetts. He is widely known as the protagonist in the 2010 feature film The Fighter based on his career, as the subject of the titular song from the album The Warrior's Code by the Dropkick Murphys, and for his trilogy of fights with the late Arturo Gatti, who is also shown in my painting.
